Direct Extrusion with Industrial Robots

In addition to the DX-Series, WEBER Additive offers a robotic system (DXR) for additive manufacturing.
Here a high-quality WEBER extruder is moved by a precise 6-axis industrial robot.

DXR 25

3D Printing robotic cell

Our DXR systems work with various industrial robots that move our specially developed AE-Series extruders with the highest precision. They are highly modular and adaptable according to the requirements of our customers.

Your advantages when printing with robots using CAM systems

  • Optimised printing strategies with 6-axis kinematics
  • Variable angle of the print head
  • Printing on already existing parts
  • Force-optimised layer direction

Our extruders for direct extrusion

AE-Series, designed for dynamics: light weight, optimised for variable output, with powerful servo motor and compact material feed.

The right configuration and size of the pellet extruder depends on many factors:

  • Typically required extrusion speed
  • Desired layer and wall thickness
  • Material and material composition

Get in touch with our experts and find your personal machine configuration!

The most important features of our AE-Series:

  • Controlled via the central machine control
  • Optimal screw geometry for a linear output characteristic
  • Up to 450 °C processing temperature
  • Wear protection solutions for the processing of fibre reinforced materials
  • Interchangeable nozzle
  • Tempered feeding zone with water cooling
  • Optional workpiece cooling on the extruder

The models of the AE-Series

  • AE 16

    Lightweight and compact
    For fast and precise jobs

  • AE 20

    The allrounder
    Versatile in use

  • AE 30

    High performance
    Optimised for hybrid production
