01 | ControlIntuitive control with OS5 |
Here at WEBER, digitalisation means the constant optimisation of processes as well as the associated reduction in costs and effort. OS5 marks a decisive step in this optimisation and a new generation of extruder control. The intuitive system is based on Siemens hardware and offers functions which include extruder control with line capabilities, diagram functions, recipe management and automatic start-up. Workpiece identification or data tapping of machine parameters form another important part of this automation. This flexibility and speed in industrial manufacturing are our impetus towards Industry 4.0 and the basis of perfect processes all round. Find out more about intuitive control with OS5. |
02 | NEXXT365The digital future of extrusion |
NEXXT365 is a major building block when it comes to digitalising your processes. This new software allows you to control, monitor and check your production – all in real time! With NEXXT365 you can manage your production orders digitally, making the process paperless, traceable, efficient and convenient. You define work schedules or checklists and assign the relevant tools to the various work steps ; the system identifies discrepancies immediately and rectifies them straight away. This ensures a quick, secure exchange of data – for extra process reliability and quality. From installation to in-production advice, we are of course available to help regardless of the hardware you use. Take advantage of our proven WEBER expertise and choose the path of digitalisation together with us. Find out more about NEXXT365. |
03 | Additive manufacturingMaking innovation tangible |
Flexibility, speed and efficiency: additive manufacturing offers a range of customer-oriented benefits. Whereas filament-based 3D printing of plastics (FDM) is already widespread, the use of granules has only begun to show its potential in recent years. Another advantage of additive manufacturing is its high degree of flexibility, which means it can be used to create products that would not have been possible with conventional manufacturing processes. WEBER has once again proven its innovativeness and progress with its new manufacturing cell, which can produce large volumes of components quickly and cost-effectively from a wide range of synthetic granules, as well as process highly-filled materials. Our focus is always on joint development with the customer and its benefits. We would love to advise you individually on additive manufacturing applications or projects! WEBER Industry 4.0
Digitalisation in industrial manufacturing
Intelligent interfaces, networked systems and digital manufacturing all sum up the fourth digital revolution
that we are all currently facing: Industry 4.0 affects virtually every manufacturer – some more than others.
And as with everything else, it comes with both many advantages and disadvantages. Here at WEBER we take the
aspects of digitalisation we find useful and combine them with our developments to set trends that open up new
opportunities and thus firmly establish us as a pioneering company. As a result, processes are optimised, and errors
are rectified at an early stage or avoided completely. We promote new, innovative pathways and it is our vision
not just to follow Industry 4.0, but also to help shape it.
We see the latest developments such as the OS5 extruder control, the NEXXT MES program and
additive manufacturing as part of this digitalisation. For example, we ensure an intelligent networking of
interfaces and enable greater flexibility with regard to individual customer requirements.
Our staff benefit from optimised work steps as well as transparent communication;
in turn, our customers benefit from flexible, innovative systems which promise maximum efficiency.
These steps are aimed at helping us to fulfil future market demands and to continue to focus on the customer
as well as position us on the market as a progressive manufacturer and solutions provider.
