Professional qualification

Your tasks will include

Processing mechanical parts and putting assemblies and components together to form mechatronic systems

Assembling electric, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical components; installing electric equipment as well as hardware and software components

Assembling, programming and testing electric, pneumatic and hydraulic control units

Testing the function of control units, automated equipment and complex mechatronic systems; troubleshooting and repairing faults and errors

Commissioning and operating mechatronic systems

Performing preventive maintenance of mechatronic systems

Measuring voltage, current, resistance and power in direct and alternating current circuits and calculating their dependence on each other

Selecting, securing and connecting cables and equipment for energy distribution and communication technology in consideration of the mechanical and electrical load

Testing the effectiveness of protective measures, in particular residual current devices; measuring insulating, earthing and loop resistances

Testing and commissioning auxiliary, control and main circuits including the corresponding signal transmitters and control devices for measuring, control and monitoring equipment

Intermediate school leaving certificate, secondary school leaving certificate

Duration of training: 3½ years
Duration of training as mechatronics engineer (dual training and university entrance qualification): 3 years
