The next generation of the WEBER DX series revolutionises large-format 3D printing
The WEBER DX Series sets a new standard in the field of large-format 3D printing. With a three-axis gantry technology, it combines the highest precision with compact design.
The WEBER DX Series with three-axis gantry system sets a new standard in the field of large-format 3D printing, with a compact design to boot.
With an impressive installation space of approx. 2.5 m³ and a high-precision, CNC-controlled axis system, the printing system really convinces. This innovative system works hand in hand with a high-quality AE series extruder, especially developed by WEBER and optimised for 3D printing.
The standard vacuum printing table, which can be heated up to 280°C, offers reliable adhesion of the component to be printed. This decisive factor guarantees maximum process stability and is of particular relevance when manufacturing functional parts for which precision is the top priority.
What's more: The flexibility of the DX series, which is equipped with the powerful AE 20, is enhanced by interchangeable extruder dies with outlet diameters ranging from 1 – 8 mm. In this way, it enables perfect print results with accuracy down to the millimetre.
The WEBER DX series can optionally be equipped with installation space insulation for processing special materials, a connection to an extraction system and a model to be selected from a variety of different granulate dryers. In this case, automatic material conveying is mandatory. This opens up even more possibilities in the selection of the materials to be processed.
Virtually any requirement can be satisfied
Whether prototypes, tool and mould making, auxiliary and operating equipment, works of art, theatre scenery, exhibition stand construction or even furniture and architecture – virtually any requirement can be satisfied with the large-volume 3D printing process. Completely individual with accuracy down to the millimetre range, depending on customer requirements. And all this also when using natural fibres or recycled plastics.
Since 2019, die WEBER additive division has been an integral part of Hans Weber Maschinenfabrik GmbH in Kronach. The machine manufacturer has already more than 60 years of experience in the construction of plastic extruders – and more than 100 years in the area of wood sanding and metal grinding machines. This know-how offers the best conditions for the development and production of additive manufacturing systems. Physical prototypes and models can be produced in a very short time, using digital design data in the form of 3D CAD data. This process can greatly accelerate the launch of a new product, which saves both time and money.
The individual configuration of the additive manufacturing system is crucial, depending on the area of application. WEBER's team of experts will be happy to assist you in optimally adapting the DX system to your needs.
