WEBER processing systems

With up to three grinding stations that can be operated in parallel, different machining operations can be easily combined - as required. The three different D_P2_R2 machining systems combined in just one machine enable almost all required tasks to be fulfilled for every job shop. Their modular design makes the machines in the TTSC series particularly flexible. Doors on both sides make the individual units and modules extremely easy to access. In addition to the high-quality basic equipment, the TTSC plus includes the “Avantage package” as standard. The package consists of the vacuum table, automatic tool length measurement and oscillation-free sanding belt control, which allows the oscillation control to be deactivated if required in order to avoid oscillation marks on the sanded surface.

We use rubberized sanding rollers for surface finishing and for sanding off burrs. The sanding pressure is created by moving the roller downwards in relation to the set workpiece thickness. When the workpiece is approached, the rubber coating of the roller is pressed upwards and the restoring force of the rubber coating provides the necessary sanding force. Sanding rollers are available in various diameters and rubber hardnesses and can be adapted to all parts to be sanded.

 

Several rotating heads are also arranged next to each other when using round brushes. With two brushes per head, the intermeshing of the brushes ensures uniform processing results across the entire working width. Thanks to its compact design, the brush head can be easily combined with other WEBER sanding technologies. The arrangement works perfectly with all material thicknesses from one millimeter.

 

DR Planetary head P2
WEBER uses the P2 and P6 planetary head technology for all-round edge processing with cup brushes. Here, several rotating brushes, arranged in groups, are additionally set in rotation. The brushes thus work on the workpiece at the optimum angle. With the patented WEBER solution, the tools of the adjacent heads overlap in such a way that no gaps occur during processing. Thanks to the compact P2 design, the space requirement is significantly lower and thus enables easy combination with other processing stations.

As an alternative to the compact P2 design, WEBER also builds a double-row arrangement in which each tool carrier carries six brushes.

Perfect sanding results at the touch of a button
A rotary knob called “i-Touch” makes it easy to navigate through the most important functions on the color touch panel. All sanding parameters such as sanding belt speed, feed speed and workpiece thickness can be operated via direct access on the “i-Touch” controller. Only the information required for the current operation is shown in the matrix display. In addition to the main functions, direct access to the stored programs is also possible. The operator simply selects the desired type of processing. The machine adjusts itself completely at the touch of a button.
