PROBIUS Ultimate: Precise measurement of cylindrical components
The WEBER PROBIUS Ultimate measuring and inspection system is specially designed for analysing and checking the geometric parameters of cylindrical components. It is ideal for quality assurance and assessing wear on twin-screw cylinders. Using non-contact scanning, the system reliably measures diameter and wear in vertical and diagonal directions.
Functions and technology
of the measuring system
Due to different barrel sizes, the sensor is centred in the barrel by exchangeable rings. The movement along the component length is carried out manually via a multi-section rod. The measurement data is displayed in the software and can be saved as a data log. In this way, a change in wear (progression) can be created based on different operating hours. This serves as a reliable prognosis of wear behaviour and service life.
