Hans Weber Maschinenfabrik: Christmas spirit, opening of the WEBER Alm "Zur Zwetschge" and anniversary celebrations in Kronach
Kronach, November 2023: In May of this year, Hans Weber Maschinenfabrik GmbH celebrated its 101st anniversary. The anniversary festivities coincided with the opening of the in-house "Alm" and the Christmas party, resulting in the inaugural 1st WEBER Christmas Market on the company premises in Industriestraße, Kronach.
Over 1100 people, including over 500 employees and their immediate family members, attended the celebration. The WEBER Maschinenfabrik grounds were adorned with Christmas decorations, featuring large Santas and snowmen in the company's distinctive colors.
The event offered a diverse program for all guests, including various food trucks providing a range of culinary delights. The company's internal grinding machine technology center was transformed into a children's paradise, featuring inflatable bouncers, creative activities, face painting, and a magic show.
A notable highlight was the opening of the new employee lounge, named "Zur Zwetschge" (At the Plum), by the company's CEOs, Dr.-Ing. Markus Weber and Ludwig Weber. The Alm serves as a cozy space for breaks or evening gatherings, accommodating approximately 60 people.
The Christmas market proved to be a successful blend of festive atmosphere, culinary delights, and a diverse children's program. It not only served as a festive prelude to the holiday season but also commemorated the impressive 101-year history of Hans Weber Maschinenfabrik GmbH.
From the construction of a grinding machine for slate boards in the 1920s to becoming a leading international company, WEBER's evolution is remarkable. The company has become firmly rooted in the market, offering patented technologies in wood and metal grinding machines, as well as excelling in the extrusion of technical plastics and granulation. The expansion into "Additive Manufacturing" and "Robotics and Automation" in 2019 set new standards in large-volume 3D printing and vision-guided industrial robotics and automation solutions.
WEBER's 101-year tradition combines a legacy of expertise with innovative technologies across its various divisions. The company, with over 500 employees and 44 apprentices, operates on two sites in Kronach, providing machine technology "Made in Kronach" to customers in over 60 countries.
Dr.-Ing. Markus Weber expressed pride in the company's 101-year history, attributing its success to the founder's spirit of Hans Weber and the dedicated employees. The familial work environment, characterized by long-term employees, reflects the company's ethos, with many staff members serving for generations.
