WEBER TTF processing systems

For surface finishing and deburring, we use rubber-coated grinding rollers. The grinding pressure is generated by lowering the roller compared to the set workpiece thickness. Their use ensures uniform removal of burrs, resulting in a smooth surface. The contact roller is particularly effective for rough grinding, as it effortlessly removes thick, melted laser splatter. The contact roller is precisely controlled and usually positioned slightly below the zero line, allowing for flexible adjustment of the grinding pressure and meeting the requirements of various workpieces. To ensure quick and precise positioning, the unit is equipped with electric adjustment and can be accurately positioned and readjusted during operation. The contact roller unit is equally prepared for the use of Scotch-Brite belts. Grinding rollers are available in various diameters and rubber hardnesses and can be adapted to all parts to be ground.

Technical Specifications:
+ Rubber-coated 40-90 Shore
+ Drive depending on the series up to 110kW
+ Electric roller adjustment and positioning

Features:
+ Use of different belts possible
+ Removes thick, molten laser spatters
+ Effective for rough grinding
+ Surface grinding

The advantages of a grinding bar and the performance of a grinding roller are combined in one grinding station. Constant grinding quality, high material throughput, and low operating costs due to long grinding belt lifetimes characterize this technology. The grinding belt is pressed a few millimeters downward by hardened pins; this pre-tension compensates for all existing thickness tolerances from part to part autonomously, allowing for an economical multi-loading process across the entire processing width.

Technical Specifications:
+ Drive up to 30kW + Cutting speed of approx. 3 - 16m/sec
+ Contact roller Ø130mm (ø175mm) rubbercoated, 60° Shore
+ Adjustment accuracy 0,1mm
+ Tolerance compensation up to +/-3mm for workpiece thickness / part distortion

Features:
+ Electromechanical roller adjustment and positioning
+ Pressure hose with manual pressure regulator for adjusting the required grinding pressure

For uniform all-around edge rounding on all inner and outer edges, multiple rotating heads are arranged side by side. The intermeshing of the brushes, with two brushes per head, ensures consistent processing results across the entire width. Due to the compact design, the brush head can be easily combined with other WEBER grinding technologies. The multirotation brush is ideal for processing coated materials, such as foil-coated sheets or galvanized sheets, where the coating must not be worn off or damaged.

Technical Specifications:
+ Drive 2,6kW per unit
+ Speed frequency-controlled 30-150U/min
+ Cutting speed frequency-controlled 5-20m/sec
+ Electrical height adjustment and positioning

Features:
+ Grinding-brushing station with multiple horizontal rotating units
+ Each with 2 vertical rotating brushes
+ Flap brushes are quick-changeable
+ Side extension for easy tool change

The cross grinding unit is suitable for part distortion of up to 10 millimeters. The unit uses half the width of the cross belt to process the workpiece, ensuring that the front edge of the belt remains above the incoming workpieces. This allows for multi-track part loading with large thickness differences or distortion, without the risk of the sanding belt edge getting caught. The machine control prompts the operator at set intervals to rotate the belt to use the other half of the belt.

Technical Specifications:
+ Drive 13kW
+ Cutting-speed up to 20m/sec

Features:
+ Part distortion up to 10mm
+ Processing only in the edge area
+ Only available in the MK series

The “P2“ planetary head unit offers the perfect and most economical solution for uniform and comprehensive edge rounding on all inner and outer contours. The patented, single-row “P2“ planetary head unit is distinguished by a particularly large overlap range of the individual tools, thus eliminating the need for additional oscillation movement. Thanks to the sealed planetary heads, the system is particularly wear-resistant and low-maintenance. The brushes always work at the optimal angle on the workpiece, ensuring high efficiency. With our patented WEBER “P2“ solution, the tools of the adjacent planetary head drives overlap seamlessly, preventing gaps during the processing.

Technical specifications:
+ Drive up to 5,2kW
+ Speed frequency-controlled 850 - 1700U/min
+ Electrical height adjustment and positioning

Features:
+ Number of units adjusted to the working width, each with 2 tools
+ Working from below starting at approx. 450mm part length possible
+ Profile grinding disc with quick-change system
+ Side extension for easy tool change

A perfect surface finish gives metal its unique shine and a special warmth. With the patented CBF technology, various grinding patterns with individually adjustable stroke-lengths can be achieved without oscillation marks. The technology works with a cross-running pressure lamella belt, arranged within the wide-belt station. The pressure lamellas constantly interrupt the engagement of the abrasive grains, thus avoiding the unwanted oscillating grinding marks of the sanding belt. The result: the surface is smooth and even.

Technical Specifications:
+ Drive up to 30kW + Cutting-speed approx. 2 - 25m/sec
+ Contact roller Ø130mm rubber-coated, 60° Shore
+ Display accuracy 1/100

Features:
+ Electromechanical roller adjustment and positioning
+ Contact roller also adjustable for deburring and/or surface grinding
+ Internally cooled drive and tensioning roll in the CBF system
+ Internal ISA/ISD link pressure bar

The WEBER brush unit enables the use of special abrasives that aren’t available as abrasive belts. The brushes treat the surface and, in part, the edges. The oscillating brush system is adjustable and is used primarily for longitudinal sanding. The brush rollers improve surface quality, alter surface roughness depth, or modify the surface structure.

Technical Data:
+Drive power up to 37 kW
+ Cutting speed 5–18 m/s
+ Display accuracy 0.1

Features:
+ Adjustable oscillation
